This 3 nights 4 day Bhutan tour is a short tour covering Paro and Thimphu valley. The highlights of the 4 days Bhutan tour is to visit the Iconic Tiger’s nest monastery. Paro Rimpung Dzong, the National Museum, Tamchog Monastery, Kichu the oldest monastery in Bhutan are the main monuments. In Thimphu, must visit sites are the Tallest statue of Sitting Buddha and the National Memorial chorten. Folk Heritage Museum, Tashi chho Dzong, the Royal Secretariat, School of Arts and Crafts remain most visited sites.

Sketch Itinerary for 4 Days Bhutan Tour:

Day 1: Arrival at Paro Airport – Thimphu (54 kms. – 1 hour drive):

Tamchog Monastery.

Our guide will receive you at the airport and drive to Thimphu.

Enroute we stop and view Tamchog Monastery built in the fifteenth century by Thang Thong Gyalpo or popularly known as “The Iron Bridge Builder”.

After lunch, visit to:

  • The National Memorial Chorten dedicated to the Third King of Bhutan, Late Jigme Dorji Wangchuck and for the World peace.
  • School of 13 Arts and Crafts.
  • Folk Heritage Museum.
  • Handicraft Bazaar.

In the evening,

  • Visit to the Tashichho Dzong, the Office of the King and Royal Secretariat.
  • Free to stroll in the town.

Dinner and over night in Hotel.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing – Paro: (54 km, 1 hr):

  • National Postal Museum, where you can print your photos and pictures on the official stamp of Bhutan.
  • Takin Preserve centre.
  • View point at Sangaygang.

  • Changangkha Monastery built in the Thirteenth century by Phajo Drugom Shigpo.

After lunch, drive to Paro and visit:

  • Watch Tower of Paro, the Ta Dzong, which now houses the National Museum of Bhutan.
  • The Paro Dzong built in the seventeenth century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 3: Paro Sightseeing (Altitude 2280 m):

Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang) Monastery.

In the morning, hike to the Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang) Monastery.

In the afternoon, visit to:

  • The Ruined fortress of Drukgyal Dzong built in the seventeenth century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
  • Visit Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan built in the seventh century by the Tibetan King, Srongsen Gampo.

In the evening, free in the town for shopping and photography.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 4: Departure:

After breakfast, drive to the Airport and Farewell.
